2/6/2023 - This is one of my favorite airports. Great food. Interesting planes. You can taxi right up to the restaurant. I like to buy a whole pie and take it back to the line guys at my FBO. - Submitted by Roger
9/16/2021 - Don't miss the Champaign Aviation Museum just south of the restaurant. A team is building a B-17 Flying Fortress virtually from scratch from a wreck in Talkeetna, AL. There is flyable B-25 and a tribute to the women who flew Warbirds in WW II. - Submitted by Joel Wesp
3/18/2014 - Just an on the cafe. The hours are Tue-Sat 7am-8:30 pm. CLOSED every monday! Coming this spring and running thru summer we will have our outside patio ramp side so you can enjoy eating and watching the planes. Also we introduced our home grown steaks and a beer and wine menu. 8/22/2013 - Urbana, Ohio is going to have theMERFI Mid Eastern Regional Fly-In this next weekend Auguast 23,24, 25, 2013. Flyin will have food, fun, forums for pilots, a poker run, for airplanes, motorcycles, and cars, a short course and long course air plane race.See the MERFI website for more information, it is www.MERFIUrbana.com for pictures details and schedules.There is a fish fry on Friday , and a band will play on Saturday. 2/11/2011 - The Airport Cafe is on the field and still has good food and great home made pies. After you eat be sure to walk down to the Champaign Aviation Museum. They are in the process of restoring a B 17. The folks there are very friendly and will tell you all about it. There are also other cool war-birds to see.
