The heart of the Califorina wine country. This quaint little town is minutes to the Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Russian River appalachian and Mendocino County wine area. Many nice B&B's and brand new hotels. Airport has cheap fuel. Can call city bus to pick-up at airport or arrange pick-up from B&B. Enterprise Rent-a-car in town. 8/9/2014 - 1 million dollar runway upgrade. 122.8 CTAF. VASI on RWY 32. Pattern 1300 ASL. Remain EAST of Runway and River. Sky Divers Maneuver on West Side of Airport and land at South End in dirt area near hangars. Basic Bathrooms open 24/7. No Pilot Lounge Yet. Friendly grass roots airport. All town amenities 1 mile north of airport. Take Asti Road N - then cross freeway on overpass to west. Nearest Wi-Fi is in town at McDonalds 1 mi. In same shopping center is big supermarket, Credit Union with ATM, Resturaunt, Subway, Auto Parts and Motel 8. Go 1 Mile farther north to Zini's Café . Highly Recommended ! for friendly small town experience and Wi-Fi! It's next to Ace Hardware. If you want a real turkey sandwich..Zinis is the place ! Open early for breakfast. We go for breakfast there, do last minute planning on Duats using the free Wi-Fi, and leave O60 early before it gets hot. Motel 8 is 1 mile, as is KFC and the wonderfully Named ThaiWay 101, with decent Thai Food lunch and dinner. Its hidden next to the Shell.. right next to the freeway overpass. Quite walkable if it isn't 100 degrees out. Go north on Asti Road, cross overpass. Excellent Grocery Store, Credit Union with ATM, Subway, auto parts store and more. Up in town is the Theatre.. more Americana, and great refuge from the 100+ summer heat. Current movies, good prices. Lots to explore in Cloverdale. Take your time. Walk around.
