5/6/2008 - Callaway is a nice place. We stayed at the Mountain Creek Inn. A Bellman is provided to pick you up and drop you off anywhere in the gardens as many times as necessary. It usually takes the Bellman between 5 - 30 minutes to pick you up. Check in at the Mountain Creek is 4 pm. If you want a steak dinner you need to bring at least khaki pants and a button up shirt to get in the Piedmont. You probably should call them to determine correct attire. Lots of stuff to do and see here.
2/25/2011 - Callaway is now charging 25.00 for the van. We used to go over on Friday nights for the seafood buffet at the Plantation Room, but have quit due to the charge.

7/28/2015 - Unless they've changed back to old procedures last time I flew into Callaway the phone was removed and they wanted $20 each way to pick up and off. It was no longer a free service.

7/15/2016 - Just got back from Callaway Gardens. We went on fourth of July week-end so it was busy. The staff was great very helpful and the grounds very nice. We brought some fold up bikes for transportation. lots of great bike paths. You are a captive so bring money. I will say the highlight might have been The Oyster House who would have thought I would have found a great seafood place in Pine Mountain. Again not cheap but very very good. It might be worth flying in and using the courtesy car just for dinner. KPIM was a great place to stop very friendly and helpful. Fuel price was good too. Thanks for a great week-end.
