Another Nice Breakfast Spot at KRCR - Rochester, IN

We flew to KRCR to visit Lighthouse Kitchen for breakfast on 6/14/20 but it was closed that day. A quick search found Tweedle Dee's Diner right across the road to the west of the airport ramp. Good and plentiful food and really nice people. We recommend it! - Submitted by Drew Elliott

Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum Complex - Columbus, IN

Whether flying or driving to Columbus, IN this a great place to visit. Free admission WWII, Korean, and Vietnam war museum. Small enough the kids won't get bored, information packed for adults, vets and non-vets. - Submitted by Larry

Beestro Resturant - Brazil, IN

Honeysuckle Hill Bee-stro is a small family owned restaurant with limited hours and menu. The best home cooked food in Indiana. Check their website and call reservations and a ride. Its less than a mile from the airport. - Submitted by Ray Jones

BMG Aviation - Bloomington, IN

Cathedrals and Monasteries around Huntingburg - Huntingburg, IN

Sisters of St Benedict, St Meinrad Archabbey and St Benedict Cathedral are within short driving distance which you can reach by the courtesy car offered by the really cordial folks at Huntingburg. An authentically friendly atmosphere which I'll visit next time with the whole family. I was amazed when I saw these cathedrals and archabbey because I've lived in Europe for 17 years and I'm telling you such structures become world famous over there. It's sad that IN has not advertised them extensively so far. Well, check them out before they get swamped by tourist buses - Submitted by Fatih

Cook Aviation - Bloomington, IN

Eagle Creek Airpark and Rick's Boat Yard - Indianapolis, IN

Fly under Indianapolis IND airspace to Eagle Creek Airport KEYE on the NW side of Indianapolis. Walk across the street to one of the best restaurants within walking distance of any airport in Indiana. Ricks Boat Yard Restaurant is ON THE WATER with wonderful views and a great menu. Often enjoy live music, Seafood fresh lobster, indoor or patio tables, even free boatrides on the lake on some evenings, courtesy of Rick's Boatyard restaurant. 5.00 Landing fee at airport, but worth it. Sometimes you will be greeted with water on the ramp and a golf cart ride to EYE terminal. Runway is 3/21 orientation and has taxiway. This will be a favorite! - Submitted by Russ Kaspar

Flora Airport and Adams Mill with covered bridge - Flora, IN

Flora Indiana is located between Lafayette and Kokomo. If you are in the mood for turf practice, Flora may work out for you. Great for a taildragger! 2100x90 feet strip..so not very long. Be sure your plane can handle it. The 9-27 orientation has a unique 800'x1200' ultralight mowed area adjacent to the north of the runway. Just 3 miles or so to the Southeast on the Wildcat Creek, you can fly over the famous Red 4 story Adams Mill where grain was milled by water power and now a museum. The white Cutler covered bridge just a few hundred feet to the Northwest of the Red Mill. Look for the horseshoe bend on the creek to locate the mill from the air. The airport is friendly and does have some activity. Restrooms are open and the payphone works. - Submitted by Russ Kaspar

French Lick Indiana - French Lick, IN

One of the paths less traveled! Town of less than 2K people with two amazing historic hotels, a casino, fabulous golf courses, eateries, escape room, spas, winery, water park, go karts, and more. Some of the best prices for fuel in the region. Less than an hour to Louisville, Evansville, Bloomington. Weekend paradise! - Submitted by Poppy
