Eagle Creek Airpark and Rick's Boat Yard
Fly under Indianapolis IND airspace to Eagle Creek Airport KEYE on the NW side of Indianapolis. Walk across the street to one of the best restaurants within walking distance of any airport in Indiana. Ricks Boat Yard Restaurant is ON THE WATER with wonderful views and a great menu. Often enjoy live music, Seafood fresh lobster, indoor or patio tables, even free boatrides on the lake on some evenings, courtesy of Rick's Boatyard restaurant. 5.00 Landing fee at airport, but worth it. Sometimes you will be greeted with water on the ramp and a golf cart ride to EYE terminal. Runway is 3/21 orientation and has taxiway. This will be a favorite! - Submitted by Russ Kaspar

9/10/2024 - Made this trip in September 2024. You'll want to park on the ramp on the west side of the departure end of Runway 3. The FBO rampers will be there waiting for you and guide you to a spot when you turn into the ramp.
The people at the FBO are super nice. There is a ramp fee, but it is waived if you go to Rick's Seafood restaurant across the street. To get to the restaurant, just walk through the FBO and walk across the street. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The food is really good, and they have quite a few ions steak, sandwiches, burgers, salads that aren't seafood if you're not a fish person. - Submitted by Steve B.
9/19/2022 - I have flown to Eagle Creek for lunch at Rick's Boat Yard. The food is excellent and it is worth the trip. It is better to fly VFR as Indy Approach will vector you all over Indiana. - Submitted by Mike

10/1/2019 - First time at KEYE and greeted in style yesterday with water for each of our guests on a hot fall day 88 F. Beautiful airport, walked across the street to Rick's cafe for lunch, 5/5 food! We will definitely come back again and highly recommend this fly in! - Submitted by Tim Hamburg
