Pratt Whitney’s customer business organization is responsible for listening to the voice of the customer, while working with cross-functional customer facing teams to deliver on PW’s commitment to enable customer success.  Pratt Whitney is expanding the operations at its China Regional Headquarters to carefully curate customer experience and product support for the fast-growing customer fleet in China. Job Description

This position entails direct customer relationships including strategic leadership and development of the direct customer team in the China region. He or she will be responsible for leading the customer focus team in managing the full range of Pratt Whitney sales and support services to commercial customers, including robust relationship development and account management, identifying market opportunities and establishing ongoing rapport with customers to grow business backlog and market share. This position also represents PW and promote PW products in the key industrial events.

Requirements:

10+ years experience and 4-year university degree, preferably in aviation fields, from reputable university. Master’s degree preferred.

This position will work closely with extended team members in the US and China, and requires:  

  • Must have language proficiency in both English and Mandarin, verbal and written
  • Proven track record of working closely with customers and strong communication skills
  • Executive presence and leadership experience
  • Strong GTF knowledge and engine performance analysis
  • Prepare and deliver a GTF technical briefing to a potential customer
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, creative PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Track record of attaining results through influence and collaboration
  • Participate in cross-functional team meeting to review campaign strategy or Approvals presentation
  • Collaborating with other marketing team members to update internal briefing material
  • Understand the competitive landscape in China and leverage internal resources to support the regional strategy
  • Coordinate calls with the airframers to review product updates. Work with both airframers to differentiate PW products with airlines Initially, the job will require shadowing the current marketing and customer business team for rapid onboarding
  • Support the China region President in developing China marketing and customer engagement strategy, and work with the CBD and Comms teams to identify and mobilize resources to deliver
  • Work closely with Comms to strengthen marketing positioning and messaging, and serve as technical/subject matter expert in media engagement activities
  • May involve periods of heavy travel as needed

At least 10 years of professional experience, including

  • Track record of public speaking experience
  • Being proven team-player in cross-functional global team environment
  • Key customer-facing roles with accountability
  • Hands-on skills in financial analysis, program management and negotiation
  • Familiarity with interpreting and managing commercial legal contracts written in English.
  • Work location must be Beijing
