Job Description:
Job Summary: The Talent Management Specialist helps build a strong workforce by finding and connecting with both active and passive job candidates. They stay informed about labor spanet trends and use smart strategies to develop a pipeline of talent for current and future needs. This role also supports employee development projects, onboarding new hires, and conducting exit interviews to improve the overall employee experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategically source passive and active candidates using a variety of methods and channels (job boards, networking, social media, referrals, etc.).
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline to support immediate and future hiring needs.
Maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, industry associations, and professional groups.
Conduct resume screening and candidate outreach to assess qualifications, fit, and interest.
Coordinate and collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and refer qualified candidates accordingly.
Extend job offers and negotiate compensation packages in alignment with company policies.
Participate in and support talent development initiatives such as leadership development programs, succession planning, skills gap analysis, and performance management.
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify and implement strategies that support employee growth and retention.
Establish track talent management metrics and contribute to reports and presentations for leadership.
Support the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Facilitate or participate in new employee orientation sessions.
Ensure compliance with onboarding procedures and documentation.
Conduct exit interviews and identify trends and key insights.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2–4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR-related roles.
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, talent pipelines, and labor spanet trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and recruitment tools.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with talent development frameworks and project implementation.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and report on HR metrics.
Negotiation and offer management experience.
Comfortable facilitating meetings or training sessions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on computer.
Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
Travel required up to 20.
