Manager, Configuration Control - Honolulu, Hawaii

Position Overview
The Manager, Configuration Control ensures the maintenance tracking system is configured properly and controlled securely for aircraft parts, aircraft configurations and maintenance manuals. The Manager also is responsible to oversee and manage a team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains robust procedure and process for managing the schedule and of all revisions to Maintenance Manuals from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) scheduled revisions and airline revisions, in a timely manner. Ensures accuracy and completeness of work performed
  • Facilitate documentation changes to comply with Airworthiness requirements, incorporating aircraft configuration procedures and parts information into AMMs, IPCs, WDMs, etc. Ensure the appropriate safety, cautions, tooling, and references are called out in approved documentation procedures and sections
  • Oversee the AD Coordination / Technical Review Group process to ensure Airworthiness Directives (AD) are inducted and dispositioned within the organization to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure Service Bulletins (SB) and Service Letters (SL) are inducted and dispositioned within the organization to further improvements in safety and operational reliability
  • Creates and maintains robust procedure and process for parts configuration changes in the maintenance tracking system, including approval flows, documentation, implementation and consistency
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Library functionality within Boeing Toolbox, and/or Airbus equivalent platform (i.e. ADOC)
  • Maintains departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) and user guides (UG), to ensure compliance
  • Creates and maintains robust procedure for aircraft software management, on and off wing. Integration of the maintenance tracking system and connectivity to hardware on and off the aircraft
  • Focal for software management from the OEM, maintaining scheduled releases of software in a timely and secure method
  • Monitor software levels in the maintenance tracking system and coordinate all required changes with the Engineering Department
  • Non-Contract position, M-F business hours (with after hours and weekend availability)
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires 3 years experience in the aviation maintenance industry
  • Experience with XML, SQL, SGML, HGML or other software sources
  • Proven ability to lead others in an effective and productive way. Ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment, with multiple customers, deadlines and priorities
  • Experience in a leadership capacity, ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects to balance work within the group
  • Must be knowledgeable on aircraft systems and have experience in with Maintenance Manuals (IPC, AMM, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of common Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with FAR Part 121 and Part 145 operations
  • Must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, a demonstrated ability of acting as an effective change agent, as well as good oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license Must be able to promptly respond after hours.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally, work flexible hours and work beyond regular hours, including weekends and holidays and non-traditional hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computer and or software security
  • Experience with TRAX (maintenance tracking system)
  • Experience with Boeing Toolbox (maintenance software platform)
  • Experience with Airbus AirNav (maintenance software platform)
