As a successful Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing regular financial statements including supporting schedules and transactional activities while ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided to the companys decision makers in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Responsible for the timely production and delivery of accurate, reliable financials and supporting schedules through managing monthly closing activities by the deadline and reviewing the work of the accounting staff
  • Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP
  • Implement and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Help guide the decision-making process of key departmental leaders and executives by providing expert analysis and explanations of budget vs. actual variances and prior period variances
  • Support the annual audit process by ensuring the completion of audit requests by the due dates and promptly responding to auditor inquiries
  • Keep the Company in good standing with all tax and other regulatory agencies by completing the compliance activities required by the deadlines set forth by the regulatory bodies to include the generation and submission of annual 1099 statements
  • Ensure the successful professional development of accounting staff through daily supervision, training and support of staff team members
  • Provide expert assistance by reviewing internally generated reports for accuracy and troubleshooting problems as they arise
  • Support the Companys key strategic initiatives by preparing ad hoc reports and performing other special projects, as needed
  • Administer the corporate purchase card program
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial information and processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Fine Print

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (essential requirement)
  • 5+ years experience in a progressive accounting role (essential requirement)
  • CPA License (essential requirement)
  • Supervisory experience (essential requirement)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (essential requirement)
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Sage Intaact experience (highly preferred)
  • Public accounting experience (highly preferred)
  • Airline or aviation experience (highly preferred)

Pay Perks

Compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation. Most qualified Candidates will receive an offer near the starting point of our compensation range.
