This Manager position will be responsible for leading a team of individual Subcontract Managers (SCMs), a group of individual contributors accountable for the overall life cycle of a subcontract, from the initial sourcing and acquisition strategy development through the solicitation, negotiation, award, cost and schedule management, subcontractor execution, and closeout steps.
At SNC, the Subcontracts function covers a variety of customer segments, including the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Federal Government, Commercial, International Governments, and Commercial. We support an incredibly diverse landscape of technologies, development, production, technical professional services, sustainment, and repairs. Subcontracts leverage various subcontract types (i.e., firm fixed price (FFP), cost reimbursement (CPFF, CPIF), time material (T M), etc.) to best manage risk for SNC and our Primes.
Responsibilities include collaboration on the acquisition strategy and sourcing, supporting the development of the subcontract requirements such as Statements of Work (SOW), generation of the request for proposal (RFP), source selection, negotiation strategies (price, schedule, technical, terms conditions, etc.), establishment of the official subcontracts procurement package and its required documentation, management of subcontractor cost, schedule performance and collaboration with engineering on the technical management of the subcontractor.
The support of new pursuits and proposals is also required for business development activities from the beginning gates of Basis of Estimate development to complex negotiations, partnering/teaming agreements, proposal evaluations, and performing the appropriate due diligence on potential competitors in terms of supplier risk, financial stability, technical capability, and quality management system assessments.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
