Description:

We are seeking experienced Helicopter Pilots to transport passengers or crew, perform CAR 702 aerial work such as forestry, forest fire fighting, aerial surveys, precision long lining or point-to-point transportation operations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating helicopters with precision and safety, ensuring efficient transportation and support services across various operational zones. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety, compliance with Transport Canada regulations, and exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to demonstrate leadership, and apply your extensive aviation experience in a fast-paced environment. We offer training bonds with a 2 year minimum.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate helicopters in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations (CARs) and company policies, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections, plan flight routes, and execute missions efficiently while managing time effectively.
  • Follow emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure.
  • Monitor the operation of the engine and aircraft systems during flight.
  • Communicate clearly with air traffic control, ground personnel, and team members to coordinate flight operations seamlessly.
  • Analyze weather conditions, operational data, and logistical information to make informed decisions during flights.
  • Maintain detailed flight logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Lead emergency response procedures when necessary, ensuring swift action to safeguard personnel and assets.

Skills

  • Extensive helicopter flying experience with a strong understanding of aviation principles and safety protocols.
  • Experience flying Bell Medium Helicopters and intermediate weight class such as Astar.
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in English for clear communication within international operational environments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to address client needs professionally and courteously
  • Deep knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations (CARs) applicable to helicopter operations.
  • Adherence to regulatory/professional standards and company policy.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and effectively handle changing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical skills for assessing weather patterns, operational risks, and logistical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation, flight schedules, and compliance records efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid Commercial Pilot Licence.
  • Industry-standard medical testing requirements for commercial flight.
  • Minimum of 1500 PIC flight hours.
  • Minimum of 2 years of aviation experience.
  • Diploma or equivalent in a related field to aviation
  • Experience in forest fire fighting and long line.

Preference will be given to applicants who also possess experience in fast-paced and physically demanding environments as well as experience in commercial aviation settings with outdoor work and varied locations.

Expected hours: 35-40 per week; additional hours may be required, and weekends

Work Location: Various locations across Canada, including remote and field sites
