Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Will be responsible to the Program Manager for the functional execution and controlling cost of the contract, while meeting flying schedule requirements, and meeting technical performance of the companys programs and subsystems of major programs.

Acts as a primary customer contact for program activities, daily performance, and maintenance support requests. Directs maintenance managers and mid-level functional managers to meet contract requirements and milestones. Identifies program challenges, accomplishments, and opportunities, such as production, training, increased flying requests, and negotiating a change to contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program as outlined by the Program Manager.

Assist the Program with:

Perform as a program manager in their absence.

Technical execution of aircraft maintenance services contract.

Daily oversight of operations to include management of employees and company resources.

Oversee the Service Life Maintenance Management (SLMM) program for a fleet of F-5 aircraft.

Coordinate the flow of aircraft phase inspections to and from NOLA with the Navy squadrons.

Serve as Program Engine Manager coordinating flow and production of J85 engines to and from MCAS Yuma and NAS Fallon.

In close coordination with the Program Manager and Material Control Supervisor, monitor J85 repairable and consumable items to ensure adequate inventories and pipeline assets to support the engine program.

Serve as program liaison with Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) for aircraft undergoing PDM and unscheduled depot repairs.

Coordinate flow of aircraft transfers between sites and new site stand-ups.

Responsible to the Program Manager for coordinating support from all functional areas (Contracts, Business Management, Finance, Quality Assurance, Standardization, Engineering, IT, Supply, Procurement, and other support staff agencies.)

Responsible for managing and maintaining budgets.

Serves as Primary POC for OEM program issues.

Lead teams composed of multi-disciplined personnel to ensure the realization of program objectives.

Participate in the negotiation of contracts/changes, coordinate preparation of proposals, statements of work, requests for proposals, and proposal evaluation.

Communicate program status, issues, risks, opportunities, and plans to the program manager and executive management.

Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to employees and functional leads.

Possess knowledge of aircraft/aviation maintenance, modification, and related planning and execution.

Prior aircraft maintenance management level experience is a must.

Detailed knowledge of US Government acquisition practices to include contract management.

Must be available for travel as required.

Requirements:

Professional Requirements, Qualifications Desired Competencies:

Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of aviation aircraft maintenance management, production, and flight line experience OR Associate's degree plus 10 years of aviation aircraft maintenance management, production, flight line, and back shop experience OR High school diploma plus 14 years of aviation aircraft maintenance management, production, flight line, and back shop experience (preferably USN/USMC).

Experience in multi-disciplined organizations or programs with Firm fixed-price contracts and Cost-Plus contracts preferred.

Must have demonstrated leadership and people management and development skills.

Possess strong oral, written, and presentation communication styles and skills.

Possess strong customer relationship skills.

Must have prior program management experience for military or DoD programs.

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (secret level)
