The Procurement Manager reports to the Director of Procurement. This role involves sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the companys objectives. The Procurement Manager is responsible for optimizing sourcing and purchasing processes to deliver best value for the company and maintain quality standards. This is a leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing assigned procurement activities. This position requires solid communication and relationship skills, and a strong understanding of procurement processes and related business functions.
Job Duties:
Procurement Leadership: Lead procurement activities to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory controls, company policies, and best practices.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Purchasing Administration: Directs purchasing activity to ensure requisitions are actioned timely, efficiently, in conformance with contracts, and in compliance with company policies.
Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of requisitioned materials and services.
Market Analysis: Analyze market intelligence to identify key trends and refine managed category structure and purchasing activities as necessary to deliver ongoing procurement effectiveness.
Total Cost Analysis: Analyze all costs associated with the acquisition, use and maintenance of a product/service to illustrate financial implications over time.
Ongoing Spend Analysis: Review purchasing data to identify spending patterns, trends, fulfillment performance, and opportunities for cost savings.
Contract Management: Manages administration of supplier contracts including contract files and data management.
Sourcing and Vendor Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and service providers capable of meeting the organizations requirements, considering factors such as reliability, performance, delivery, and regulatory compliance.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service level performance.
Risk Management: Employ risk mitigation techniques related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicator (KPI) data to drive improvement and corrective actions to procurement and fulfillment processes and initiatives.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal customers and stakeholders to develop requirements, statements of work, requests for quotes, and requests for proposals.
Other Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Procurement.
Basic Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.
5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or related roles, preferably with a focus in aviation.
Record of achievement in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost reduction initiatives.
Must possess strong business acumen and a highly professional demeanor.
Demonstrated leadership skills with strong ability to influence positive outcomes.
Excellent negotiation skills, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to accuracy.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in business system and tools, including ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CPPM, CSCP) are a plus.
