Total Aviation Staffing is partnering with a leading air ambulance provider to recruit a VFR Pilot for their Greencastle, IN location. As a pilot, you will be instrumental in ensuring rapid, safe, and efficient medical transport, serving communities with unwavering commitment.

• Operate a BH407 VFR/NVG helicopter in compliance with company policies and CAMTS guidelines.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.
• Support community outreach programs and maintain adherence to safety and operational protocols.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide safe and efficient service.
• Assist with loading and unloading of patients and equipment as required.
• Maintain compliance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and operational excellence initiatives.

• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Commercial Helicopter License with Instrument Rating.
  • First Class Medical Certification.
• Flight Experience:
  • Minimum 2,000 total flight hours (1,500 helicopter, 1,000 PIC helicopter, 500 turbine helicopter).
  • 100 unaided night hours (or 50 unaided + 100 NVG hours).
• Other Requirements:
  • Must meet body weight limit of 235 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs for loading and unloading assistance.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must reside within a 1-hour commute of the base.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
