•    Manage a highly effective and dynamic team that supports multiple internal stakeholders in supply chain, manufacturing and operations, engineering and information technology.
•    Lead and manage the improvement of existing internal practices to improve and maintain the efficiency of the contract process in supply chain.
•    Ensure the team is kept abreast of new laws and developments in contract law and privacy law.
•    Supervise and assist the drafting of new policies, directives and procedures for supply chain.
•    Participate in strategic discussions between internal stakeholders that impact the supply chain organization.
•    Participate in strategic discussions between internal stakeholders that impact information technology initiatives and strategies.
•    Provide legal advice and opinions on a variety of matters including privacy and intellectual property law.
•    Support the Mexican site including all legal matters arising therefrom (supported by a small team of lawyers in Mexico).
•    Support the Research and Technology team on new strategic initiative and developments.
•    Support the procurement needs of Bombardier Defense and participate in bid processes for Defense contracts.
 

•    You have a bachelors law degree and relevant experience.
•    You are a member of the Quebec Bar.
•    You have at least ten (10) years of experience working in a law, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or legal role in the supply chain, information technology and manufacturing environment.
•    You have quality writing skills and are bilingual and comfortable in oral and written communications, in French and English.
•    You are comfortable working with senior management and executives.
•    You are well organized, able to manage multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines, and are comfortable working in a highly dynamic and changing environment.  You have excellent priority management skills.

•    You have experience leading and managing dispute resolution proceedings.
•    You have solid computer knowledge; strong MS office knowledge is a requirement, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
