We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, Program Management Assistant - Acquisition and Contracts to support our efforts with the Naval Intelligence Activity (NIA). This is a great opportunity to exercise and showcase your growing project management skillsets (hard and Soft) as an Program Management Assistant - Acquisition and Contracts, supporting a Senior Project Manager as well as senior executives (SES) and senior GS Program Managers of NAVINTEL efforts.
This position is primarily on-site with teleworking capabilities optional as duties allow.
Duties Responsibilities
Successful Candidates for this high-visibility position should clearly exhibit within their resume any experience equivalent to some or all of the following duties, responsibilities and qualifications (required and preferred):
The contractor shall support Naval Intelligence Activity (NIA) (a U.S. Naval Echelon 2 organization) as the Program Management Assistant - Acquisition and Contracts supporting the NIA Director of Acquisition and Contracts or other senior leaders in support of the NIA Director of Acquisition and Contracts as appropriate.
The Program Management Assistant - Acquisition and Contracts will perform all or some of the following, but are not limited to:
Required Qualifications
Top Secret at Minimum. TS/SCI Preferred Clearance required and must be active at time of application.
US Citizenship Required.
Experience in a related Government or business field in role responsible for program/project coordination within an acquisitions or contracting space.
3 years of experience assisting in defining Acquisition and Contract Management processes, documenting processes, and tracking measuring success.
3 years of experience researching, identifying, and communicating government and industry best practices as they relate to pre and post award contract management (full lifecycle).
Demonstrated through experience a basic understanding of the standard project management principals, such as the phases/lifecycle, terms and methodologies, developing risk matrixes, issue logs, etc.
Familiar with DoD/IC Acquisition procedures and policies.
Ability to visualize and summarize program metrics at a leadership (oversight) level, preparing reports for Portfolio Level/Strategy level executives
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Possess strong communication and organizational skills (both written Oral).
Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple, overlapping deadlines.
Be able to problem-solve and think critically.
Have strong attention to detail.
Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Ability to work within a team structure and with senior government leadership at the GS-15 and SES levels.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications (Not Required, but helpful to have)
Associates or Bachelors Degree.
Experience with SharePoint collaboration tools.
Experience using programs based on the ServiceNow platform.
CAPM or PMP from PMI (Project Management Institute) desirable.
DAWIA certification(s).
Experience as a government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) or as a government-based Acquisitions/Contracts professional.
Experience using data and metrics to track progress and provide reports to senior executives.
