Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will manage a team of mission assurance engineers and quality analysts. This position will be located at the ACCE facility in Clearfield, UT.
Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements in accordance with contractual requirements.
Leads a team of quality engineers and analysts in ensuring product quality.
Recruits, trains and mentors the next generation of engineers and analysts.
Executes daily activities to support programs which run across multiple shifts, ensuring adequate support is given.
Recommends and supports corrective action where necessary.
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Fulfills staffing requirements including hiring and tracking of personnel.
Manages indirect and program budgets and stays within budget.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in engineering or STEM
Minimum 7 years of experience in a quality or process engineering role with at least 5 years of that experience in an Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industry
1-2 years of Leadership/ Supervisory experience
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (IPTs)
Understanding and experience with Continuous Improvement concepts, processes, and tools.
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in root cause and corrective action processes, including experience with various methods of root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Why, Ishikawa, Current Reality tree, etc.)
Strong working knowledge and experience with AS9100 and AS9102
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance as well as the ability to obtain/maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of and experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and how they relate to QMA activities.
