The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is located on the west ramp of William P. Hobby Airport, between the two Continental Airlines maintenance hangars, and is located in the building that was once the first commercial air terminal in Houston.

It contains memorabilia from Pan Am, Braniff, Trans Texas/Texas International, Continental, Southwest, and more! On the third Saturday of every month is the Wings and Wheels event, where they open the ramp to the public to check out the themed airplanes and any transient aircraft. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children $7a/$3c for Wings and Wheels Saturdays, and that includes lunch for fly-ins. Museum is currently open Thurs-Sun 10:00a - 5:00p. If you're flying in, please call the museum and provide an ETA, and inform Hobby Tower that you'll be parking at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. - Submitted by George Haines |
