Tennessee Museum of Aviation

Great aviation museum right on the field. You can taxi up and park on their ramp (don't block the big hangar door). Small gift shop, lots of military historical information as well as an informative timeline-type documentary on aviation in general, plus specific contributions from the state of Tennessee - you will learn who solved the problem of carburetor ice! Out in the hangar area, there's an interesting range of exhibits both GA and military. The volunteer tour guides are a wealth of information so be sure to take the time to chat with them. Airport terminal has a courtesy car if you want to get something to eat. And some of the friendliest folks here you'll ever meet! - Submitted by Jane
