Vintage Flying Museum
A very nice museum located at the south end of Ft Worth Meacham International Airport. VFM is proud to be the maintenance home for Fifi, the CAF B-29. They house about a dozen aircraft housed in a World War Two B-29 Hangar. They are open on weekends. If you want to come during the week call ahead. They host a warbird fly in every June. And they have a wonderful 1940's big band hangar dance every October. It is really neat to see a full big band set up under the nose of the B-17 - Submitted by pmahaffey

9/7/2015 - The B-17 is no longer in the hangar. BUT a B-29 is. VFM is proud to be the maintenance home for Fifi, the CAF B-29. The main focus of the museum is that you can see the antique aircraft being worked on and flown and talk with the crews. There is no war bird event in June. The hangar is is still every October, this year under the A-3 and next year the B-29? - Submitted by Sheila Doyle
9/8/2014 - A very nice museum located on the west side of Ft Worth Meacham International Airport. About a dozen flying aircraft are based in a World War Two B-29 Hanger along with about a dozen other aircraft. VFM is currently the maintenance home for Fifi B-29 and Diamond Lil B-24.
Look for the Big Band Hanger Dance every October for a night of dancing.
The museum is open Friday thru Sunday.
