Booneville is a public airport close to Mt Magazine and has lots of great food in the area. Fly in, grab the Crown Victoria courtesy car and head out for a day of hiking and sightseeing on the tallest mountain between the Appalachians and the Rockies at 2700 ft. Camping is available at the airport. If you don't want to camp the Countryside Inn is only a mile away. Great food to be had here. Reid's BBQ, only open Thursday-Sat, is awesome. Black Dog Meat Co., only open Mon-Fri 11-2 has killer burgers. Other options in Booneville include Lin's Chinese Buffet, Mexico Lindo and Penjamo Mexican. If you turn left out of the airport on only go 7 miles to Magazine, you find Mel's Hwy 10 Diner that has a plate size Chicken Fried Steak with country gravy that you have to see to believe. Terminal has new furniture, gas is cheap, no tie down fees and if you break maintenance is available on the field. Well worth a visit! - Submitted by Miller Mark
