8/28/2024 - The FBO has bikes for rent, ride into town and check out Wildman Pizza. The owner, Dusty is a Python hunter on the Discovery channel and has a store next to the Pizza shop where he sells Python skin products, It's a really cool place and worth the flight there. - Submitted by John
6/2/2023 - I kept my restored Ercoupe here for two months in 2016. Flew my RV-12 there from Marco Island several other times. No joke as to the local seafood restaurants. The airport is well run by the Collier County Airport Authority. Nice FBO. - Submitted by Joel Wesp

11/20/2016 - Great little airport - very friendly staff. Rented bikes for $6 and rode into town for a great lunch at triad. Watch the crosswinds coming down below the treeline. - Submitted by Aaron

9/19/2010 - All you can eat fried chicken buffet on Sunday for $7.95! As good as mom used to make. The Depot The historical train station in Everglades City.. Great food! - Submitted by Larry McClure
4/26/2010 - A flying buddy called me at 4 pm Saturday afternoon and said we should go flying! Where to go on short notice and with a time crunch ? I suggested XO1 about an 1hr.from SRQ.I called Millers Oyster house restaurant to ask hours of operation. Kelly the receptionist said they would pick us up! Owner Bob Miller did and they had us out of there in less than an hour and back at the airport!One of the Best grouper sandwiches I've had/and I'm a native. Will definitely go back,but without the rush. - Submitted by S. Kurtz
3/11/2009 - 03/11/09 Great place to fly into airport manger Nathan Goff will heip you with bike rentals or lodging, could have stayed there for a month to get out of the cold thanks Nathan Gilbert King Wv
4/17/2008 - Great place to get stone crab! There are several markets on the island. The phone numbers are at the FBO, they will come to the airport to pick you up. Usually, the retaurants will as well.
6/17/2002 - Bicycles are avialable at the airport for a trip into town. Usually no charge if no one is around or you purchase gas. Airboat trips and fun restaurants are in easy reach. Great day for a fly-in with the grand kids.
