Islanders at Dauphin Island
Fly into this fun little place for a great beach and dinner or lunch on the island. When we were there June 2017 the owner at Islanders Restaurant came to greet us at the airport for a ride. Food was great! Runway is recently redone and was great. Watch out for crosswinds. - Submitted by Bob

8/9/2023 - I have flown into Jeremiah Denton 4R9 twice and had lunch at Islanders. The last time was in April 2023. The staff at Islanders are very nice and the food was good. Bill picked me up and ped me off at the airport. A sign at the airport gate has Islanders phone number to call to have them pick you up. It is 0.8 miles one way if you want to walk. I prefer to ride and have a great conversation with Bill. - Submitted by Russell Burns
7/22/2020 - Islanders is good, but our favorite place on the island other then the beach is The Light House Bakery. We have two fold up bikes that fit in the back of the plane that are perfect for the island. There is a sign on the fence that mentions a shuttle bus from 7:30 to 4:30 for a dollar, you call DI Police Dispatch 251 861-5523. We have never tried it. - Submitted by Larry C
11/3/2018 - Flew into Dauphin Island 11/3/18. Uber and Lyft both claim service on the Island, but they don't. Walked to the Islander but it is quite a hike. They did bring us back to the plane though. Food was good and everyone very accomodating. - Submitted by Huey
