Augusta Municipal Airport

Augusta is a great Airport alternative to Wichita's busy and crowded airspace. Augusta has a new WAAS certified LPV instrument approach, a 4200' runway and a brand new taxiway and airport lighting system HIRL. 3AU is only six miles east of Wichita on US HWY 54 / 400 and lies just outside of Class C airspace. 3AU provides all the amenities found at the BIG airport including very cheap Jet-A and 100LL, Courtesy car, Hertz Rental cars and a great lounge to sit out Weather!. Augusta features world class golf nearby at Flint Hills Country Club and is a straight shot to nearby shopping malls and great places to eat. One great attraction nearby, is the Kansas Aviation Museum, one of the best adventures we have visited in a long while. - Submitted by LLoyd Partin
