1/20/2013 - My wife and I flew in to visit this restaurant for the first time this weekend and we were struck by the how the environment promotes the benefits and freedom of general aviation. We pulled up and tied down right in front of the restaurant. We were especially impressed by how many kids were there getting exposed to aviation in a way I have not seen in a very long time in this overly TSA'd world. You can eat outside on the patio and there is an adjacent large fenced in area for kids to play and a terraced area of steps that you sit down and enjoy watching the aircraft land and takeoff up close and personal. It was a beautiful sunny 55 degree January day and the place was slammed! The menu was extensive and the food great. I highly recommend the Runway Cafe to anyone. - Submitted by Erich Gunther
