Job Summary:

The Shop Visit Cost Management individual contributor role is on a high-visibility F135 Sustainment Integrated Fleet Support team that executes forecasting, powerplant engineering, maintenance program management, and shop visit cost management. This role supports these four key team deliverables.

The successful Shop Visit Cost Management professional goes where there is no path and forges a path for others to follow, in the form of program shop visit program management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic shop visit cost management for the F135 program via the collection of multiparadigm shop visit costs (as-built, as-received, as-invoiced, etc.) as well as the development of workscoping cost prediction tools
  • Digital strategy integration: data product tool development, including leadership of shop visit cost data product tool release plans
  • Process stakeholder integration across F135 enterprise for all key processes
  • Partner with the Powerplant Engineering, Affordability and other F135 Enterprise teams to identify shop visit cost primary secondary drivers and drive business case-supported reduction of shop visit cost
  • Support contract design strategy, including strategic F135 Sustainment contract changes and propulsion service provider contracts
  • CORE process maturity advancement, including driving team proficiencies and benchmarking, process standardization and maturity, and development of performance quality metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree is required
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in cost planning and tracking across maintenance repair systems
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace Logistics, or equivalent
  • F135, F117 or other PW Military or Commercial Engines logistics experience; demonstrated skills and proficiency in Powerplant Engineering processes
  • Familiar with engine overhaul repair processes, engine hardware, assembly, operation, and testing

This role is: Remote

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work regularly offsite. There will be periodic visits to the office for group events.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
