Operations Manager - Ogden, Utah

SUMMARY
This position manages both Production and Facilities. This position will plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications with environmental, health and safety requirements. Has overall responsibility for buildings and grounds including security maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate distribution, warehousing in accordance with safety, policy, and procedures established by General Manager in to achieve division and customer objectives.
Develop plans for efficient use of employees
Meet delivery scheduling requirements
Review product order or schedule to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and schedule delivery
Develop and revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards
Works closely with quality department to ensure compliance of the ISO/AS Quality System
Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
Review operations and confer with, administrative or human resources staff to resolve production, processing or personnel issues.
Develop or revise standard operation and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Conduct meetings to resolve or effect the settlement of grievances and refers unresolved grievances to Human Resources.
Patrols and monitors work areas, in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
Ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting environmental health and safety, as well as quality.
Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
Develop facilities action plans.
Control the total maintenance of facility
Responsible for the environment compliance of the organization to include hazardous waste disposal programs
All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or ten years' experience in an aviation logistics distribution environment.
Experience in continuous process improvement preferred.
15 years' working in a military supply chain aviation environment focused on distribution, inventory and material accountability of USG material and systems involved..
Complete understanding of USG material management
