The opportunity

We are seeking suitably experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Project Lead executing the repair and major servicing of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18 D Hornets to be located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW.

As the Project Lead you will apply your leadership experience to plan and execute the project technical scope and to engage effectively across the Boeing teams, the customer organisations and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Executes cost, schedule and technical objectives for the F/A-18D Hornet project. Effectively facilitates open interactions and communications between customer and support teams across multiple countries.

  • Defines, develops and monitors project plans, status and performance.

  • Identifies, communicates and influences future business opportunities within the scope of the program.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in project management or equivalent discipline.

  • Understanding of earned value management, project management and business management practices.

  • Experience with technical management of aerospace and/or defence projects is highly regarded

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organizational levels.

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
