Job overview and responsibilities
As a senior software developer in the Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for the development of mission-critical applications, while working with a team of developers. You will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications that support our pilots and flight attendants through Unitedrsquo;s Hotel Operations department. Additionally, as a senior developer, you will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use leading edge technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily. You will be relied upon to help take this team to the next level from a technological standpoint.
bull; Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
bull; Serve as technical expert on development projects
bull; Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
bull; Support, maintain, and document software functionality
bull; Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
bull; Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed
bull; Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
bull; Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs
