Tasks
As Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of our ATOs Safety Management System (SMS). You report directly to the Accountable Manager and are organizationally independent of operational areas.
- Establishment, maintenance and further development of the safety management system
- Identification of hazards and implementation documentation of risk analyses
- Monitoring the effectiveness of risk reduction measures
- Management evaluation of the internal safety reporting system, incl. processing of safety reports
- Analysis of data, trend monitoring development of safety performance indicators
- Preparation of regular safety reports for management
- Implementation follow-up of internal safety audits safety investigations
- Ensuring training participation in safety promotion measures
- Coordination of emergency crisis management processes
- Working closely with the Compliance Monitoring Manager while maintaining the independence of both functions

Requirements
- Completed training or studies in the field of aviation, aviation safety or comparable
- Sound knowledge of safety management, risk management and conducting safety investigations
- Ideally training as an auditor in the field of aviation as well as experience in the ATO, FSTD or AOC area
- Very good knowledge of the relevant EU regulations (Part-FCL, Part-ORA)
- Experience with safety reporting systems is an advantage
- Familiar with MS Office 365 and digital management systems
- Strong analytical skills, independence and strong communication skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
