The Manager of Flight Control (MoFC) is responsible for ensuring the flight following ground services, sales, and passenger operations are coordinated. The Manager of Flight Control (MoFC) administratively supervises Flight Controllers and Crew Schedulers. In addition to the basic flight controller and crew scheduler job duties, the MoFC is also responsible for the following managerial duties:

Duties

  • Directing and supervising the safe and efficient operation of the Company Flight Control System
  • Responsible for the hiring and training of all Flight Controllers
  • Obtains and maintains specific publications including but not limited to Airway and Approach Charts, Runway analysis charts, and AIPs as required for foreign operations.
  • Maintains contracts to provide computerized flight plans, weather service, NOTAMs, INTAMs, communications, and other pertinent flight safety data.
  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining all company INTAMs
  • Responsible for adherence and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures applying to flight operations and record retention.
  • Responsible for adherence to all applicable FARs applying to flight operation and flight following.
  • The Manager of Flight Control (MoFC) or his/her designee shall, during the shift, be continuously contactable and handle communications in a timely and efficient manner.
  • The Manager of Flight Control (MoFC) shall be thoroughly familiar with the policies and procedures in the FARs, GOM, FCM, FSOM, and CSR Manual.
  • Maintain CBP Master Crew List (MCL).
  • Maintain TSA Master Crew List (MCL).
  • Record keeping and maintaining flight release records as required in the FCM, GOM, FAR, etc.
  • Coordinating with the Director of Maintenance for scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Safety Committee members.
  • Understand and be able to execute the procedures established in the Emergency Response Program (ERP).

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelorrsquo;s degree from a four-year college or technical school.
  • Advanced understanding of aviation meteorology.
  • 5+ yearsrsquo; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate and/or private pilotrsquo;s license is a plus!
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule to include weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Basic understanding of business aircraft.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Teams, Fuelerlinx, APG, and FltPlan.com.
  • Must present a team effort approach, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
