We are seeking a UH-1H Fire Pilot for this seasonal position. The ideal candidate would be available from March for training and work through the fire season, available from April to September (exact dates TBD), with a similar schedule going through 2031 with Oregon Department of Forestry. This position is a 12/12-day rotation with per diem, paid travel time and expenses. The Fire Pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the UH-1H Bell Helicopter in fire suppression activities, including external load operations. The Pilot (PIC) is the ON-SITE Safety Leader and liaison for all safety issues and communication with Contracting Representative. Good judgement and compliance with SOP's, contractual requirements and daily OPS reporting procedures are mandatory. Good communication with crew members, relief crews, and company support staff is essential.

Requirements:

• FAA Pilot Certificate 
• Current FAA Medical Certificate
• USFS Carded for minimum 2 years
• 1500 hour minimum flight time in rotary wing
• 1500 hour minimum Helicopter PIC
• 150 hours minimum flight time in Bell Medium
• 100 hours minimum flight time in Helicopter in preceding 12 months 
• 300 hours PIC minimum in helicopter - Mountainous Terrain
• Currently or previously interagency carded in Bell Mediums (preferably UH-1H)
• 133 (External Load) Certification Experience
• Maintain all licenses to comply with regulatory agencies 
• Ability to travel to other jobs and base locations
• Lift containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record
• Drug screening and background check pass
• Willingness and desire to work overtime hours during contract seasons 
• Must be willing to be on the road and away from home for 12/12 rotation.
• Able to legally work in the US
