PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Approve or disapprove indirect material requirements from the work centers by reviewing the message mailbox.
  • When material is received from the supply department, annotate date and time the material is received on the DD1348.
  • Ensure project/priority codes are correctly assigned prior to forwarding requirements to ASD.
  • Ensure all RFI/non-RFI components are properly packaged and handled to prevent damage and deterioration.
  • Initiate Report of Discrepancy (SF364) for material received with discrepancies.
  • Make SAP entries.
  • Familiarization with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisor/Manager to resolve questions/concerns.
  • Required to maintain accountable records of Government/Company property for utilization and control by the Company.
  • Must be required to perform Collateral Duty Quality Control Inspections (CDQARCDI).
  • Comply with all Government/Company Property Control procedures and policies.
  • Prepares necessary documents for loss, damage, destruction, or damage to Government/ Company property.
  • Prepares necessary documents for authorization from the Government/Company to replace, dispose of, ship, and to obtain additional Government/Company property.
  • Ensures timely submittal of reports and inventories to the Government/Company.
  • Comply with DOT Hazardous Material Transportation Procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.
  • Conducts and compiles special and annual and quarterly inventories and surveys. Forwards reports to appropriate Government/ Company personnel.
  • Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required.
  • Must be familiar with all HAZMAT procedures such as SDS sheets, issue and receipt, verification, manufacture, and expiration dates, AULs and turn-in procedures.
  • Ensure all incoming direct turn-over material is forwarded to applicable work centers in a timely manner.
  • Know location of safety data sheet (SDS) and applicable safety precautions.
  • May be required to perform scheduled inventories.
  • May be required to perform off-site service.
  • May be required to perform duties of HAZMAT/HazWaste Custodian or Assistant Custodian when authorized and designated.

  • Submit request for disposition on PCARS when required.
  • Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
  • Other projects and initiatives as assigned as well as other reasonably related duties when directed.


POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER

  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces supply and/or property control courses.
  • Must have three (3) years experience as a Material Control/Property Manager in the Military.
  • Must have a valid state operators license and be able to pass the government licensing requirements for support equipment.
  • Obtain and maintain all applicable SE licenses.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instructions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC Card.
  • Certifications/Licensing as required by the Program Training and Certification Manual.
  • Certifications/Licensing as required by the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
  • The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • This classification activity is usually accomplished in a warehouse environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with warehousing activities.
  • Typical physical demands or activities include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, reaching, and walking.
  • May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds.
  • The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to changes in temperature and weather.
  • May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
