Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector and Aerospace Structures Business Unit is seeking a Facilities Capital Manager to manage the capital budget for facility projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new program facilitation requirements at our Clearfield, UT location.
Specific duties will include:
- Report to the Facilities Director regarding the management of all capital allocations and expenditures.
- Ensure timely development, update, leadership review and submittal of annual capital strategic plan.
- Ensure timely development, update, leadership review and submittal of monthly capital forecast reports.
- Gain approvals from and issue requests for funding allocation and account codes related to capital expenditures.
- Take leading role in the oversight on all capital management budgets, goals, policy and procedures.
- Understand and track performance to expenditure budgets,
- Coordinate with Division and Sector personnel to ensure understand and alignment with policy and procedure.
- Coordinate with Business Management personnel, including Controller, to ensure appropriate use capital allocation with the disclosure statement.
- Meet with the site and segment leaders to track current capital projects and forecast future capital needs
- Gather, analyze, and present capital cost data to leadership
- Takes the lead in finding solutions to cost and schedule issues
- Develops tools to effectively manage and provide visibility of capital project costs
- Work closely with the facility engineers and buyers to track monthly spending and update forecasts.
- Provide leadership and oversite of capital request process, train personnel in it use, and ensure timely presentation of requests to leadership.
- Track capital reports, requests, forecasts, changes, and other communications as they relate to capital management.
- Coordinate with other capital management personnel at the Division and Sector levels.
- Maintain continuity with business unit finance and sector level finance teams regarding approved and forecasted capital budgets
- Ensure timely process and submittal of weekly, monthly, and annual capital reporting.
- Ensure timely process and submittal of funding allocation requests, following current policy and procedures.
This position may be filled at a Principal or Senior Principal level based on the qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications
Principal Project Management
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with the execution of capital projects
- Experience estimating and managing capital project budgets and forecasts
- Strong background in budget management and reporting
- Expert working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Senior Principal Project Management
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with the execution of capital projects
- Experience estimating and managing capital project budgets and forecasts
- Experience planning and executing capital project schedules
- Experience coordinating project scope, schedule and budgets with clients and end users
- Strong background in budget management and reporting
- Expert working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to use database reports to efficiently gather and combine cost data
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning and presentation skills are required
- Experience using CostPoint and/or SAP to obtain cost data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000
Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
