Job Summary:

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Quality Manager for the United States Air Force Contractor Logistics Support contract at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL. This manager oversees the Quality departments as well as manages the Environmental, Safety and Training programs.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall management of Quality Assurance program, Quality Control for aircraft maintenance Environmental, Health, Safety and Training.

• Supervises Quality Assurance Representatives (QAR).

• Manages Akima’s Quality Management System at the Site level ensuring compliance with AS9110 and ISO 9001-2015. Maintains the quality documentation and ensures access to all employees. Performs internal audits and ensures Site is prepared for external audits.

• Manages the Hazard Communication program ensuring Occupational Safety Health Administration guidance is met. Ensures the proper storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.

• Ensures employees are trained on handling/use of hazardous material and ensures employees are provided with personal protective equipment.

• Manages the Site’s safety program; performs safety investigations and completes requiredreporting. Develops training and ensures employees receive initial and recurring training as required by contract, Federal, State, and Air Force guidance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline or 5 years’ experience in a quality assurance role.

• 3 years as a Quality professional preferably with AS9110 experience.

• Air Force background preferred. Understanding and experience with Air Force safety, training, and environmental programs.

• Understanding and experience with Air Force Instructions, technical orders, and other guidance.

• Experience with Federal Aviation Regulations for managing a Part 145 Repair Station.

• Must have extensive Microsoft Office experience, primarily with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with briefing high-level leadership.

• Ability to pass a standard background check so base clearance and computer access can be achieved.
