Job description

IPT Team Lead - Level I

Responsible for Leading an IPT (Integrated Product Team) consisting of the necessary functional resources to support effective production activities. Be the point of contact and integrate a cohesive cross functional team of professionals to resolve production build issues.

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary person responsible to lead an IPT, ensuring that all issues and constraints are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with production supervisors and leads to ensure strong IPT performance and production results. 
  • Develop, implement, and improve processes for running an effective IPT. 
  • Ensure all IPT team members are trained as required to perform standard processes. 
  • Ensure IPT team is working towards defined KPIs.
  • Have a deep understanding of systematic problem solving and lead and coach team to reduce recurring production problems. 
  • Promote and foster a culture of teamwork.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Lean and SEED (Solutions for Excellence and Empowerment by Daher). 
  • Ensure 15-minute response time to all production issues.
  • Elevate appropriately when the IPT is unable to resolve production issues on their own.
  • Elevate Line Stop or Major production issues to the appropriate Functional Leader and ensure communication back through the IPT on resolution path.
  • Develop and share appropriate metrics/KPIs related to IPT performance.
  • Work to resolve all chronic and recurring production issues within one airplane/production cycle.
  • Develop and maintain IPT Visibility Board.
  • Plan and lead regularly scheduled IPT meetings.

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • 543; years of Sheet Metal Mechanic experience
  • Working knowledge and experience applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes and Lean Manufacturing tools preferred
  • Willing to work any shift
  • Experience with MS Office products
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Must be a Team player
  • Ability to address and overcome resistance to change, communicate benefits, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Standards, Quality Systems, and regulatory requirements.
