Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Staffing and piloting support aircraft transporting parts, mechanics, pilots, administrative/company personnel, and CALFIRE personnel as required in support of the CALFIRE aviation program. All flights are conducted under FAR Part 135 or Part 91 rules.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
1200 hours total time.
800 hours total PIC.
500 hours single-engine,
500 hours of cross-country flight time
100 hours of night flight time
75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, of which at least 50 hours must be in actual flight
Second Class Medical Certificate with EKG Endorsement if over forty (40) years of age.
Commercial Airplane Pilot Certificate with instrument rating for fixed wing.
10 hours in Pilatus PC-12/47E
Pilot currency and proficiency shall be maintained by each pilot, including mechanic-pilots, in company aircraft as necessary.
Annual training shall be accomplished before fire season begins, to consist of ground school and flight proficiency
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime shifts as required.
May be exposed to contaminants.
Will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Will be required to use safety equipment as directed by the company in accordance with applicable Federal and State Occupational Safety and Health Codes
