Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Command Systems Hardware Requirements and Architecture Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel program. This leadership role will be located in Roy, UT. As the Command Systems Hardware Requirements and Architecture Lead, you will lead a team of approximately 10-15 systems engineers in executing the development of systems engineering artifacts decomposing requirements and defining the functional architecture of the C&L C2 products. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented, and be able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Plan, lead, and review Requirements and Architecture activities for the Command Systems element.
Coordinate & collaborate with the Command System Engineering and Command Systems Engineering Teams
Coordinate and collaborate to perform requirement analysis, allocation, and derivation from higher-level specifications box level designs
Define and derive verification allocations for box level requirement verification.
Support team of engineers to create, mature, and present comprehensive and cohesive technical charts representative of the appropriate level of maturation for any given milestone meeting and demonstrating team readiness in relation to achieving the milestone entrance and exit criteria
Identify required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation and driving corresponding updates to closure
Coordinate and collaborate with diverse engineering design teams to assist in managing the technical baseline
Manage a team of high performing engineers across multiple engineering subdisciplines
Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or masters degree with 6 years of related experience
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
Ability to travel 25 of the time
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
A current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with capability for SAP access
Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers
At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
Familiarity with Model- Driven Systems Engineering languages (SysML /UML) and concepts and CORE knowledge a plus
Excellent technical writing skills, and team building skills
Subcontractor technical oversight experience
Control Account Management Experience with earned value management execution experience in agile programs for systems engineering products
Certified Agile Scrum Master
Certified as a Control Account Manager Experience with demonstrated earned value management execution experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
