Come to Nu-Cavu. Located in Wallkill, NY, just outside of the Kobelt Airport, Nu-Cavu serves up Wallkill's finest Italian fare with exciting dishes and unique ambiance. At Nu-Cavu, every dish is created using only the freshest, finest ingredients. We serve only the finest meats and seafood, freshest vegetables, breads, and deserts baked fresh everyday on the premises. Our sensational menu and attention to detail create a truly enjoyable dining experience. Restaraunt is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from 11:30 am - 12:00pm. Dinner served until 9:00pm. 9/15/2012 - This place is adorable. Runway does not have visible runway markings and it is a little hard to see the ends with surrounding trees, but what a treat. Chocolate torte better than any I've had in Paris. Hopping. NuCAVU is filled with charm ... It is just NE of Stewart Int so be careful of your airspace. 2/11/2012 - We have enjoyed countless well-prepared lunches and dinners in a second-to-none atmosphere. The wait staff are more than attentive and the owner, Carmela, always stops to share a few words with the diners as she walks amid the tables. Wednesday night is Mexican night. My dinner comes from their great Mexican menu and my husband chooses from the regular menu. It has become our favorite destination because of the food quality, the atmosphere and the friendliness. 4/10/2010 - Flew to Nu-Cavu and had a great lunch with some fellow pilots. 1st, this is not your average airport restaurant. It has a casual pub atmosphere around the bar area with outdoor dining right in front of the runway and a more formal area for a fine dinner. This is the kind of restaurant you would drive to if it was near your home. On top of that, I had a problem with plane my in which I had to leave it there for a few days. Michael the owner and chef watched over it, re- tied during a wind storm, and lent me some tools. 4/10/2010 - Great place with great food service. Carmella takes pride in making sure her patrons have an enjoyabole experience. Food was fantastic, service was great and prices reasonable! Very cool place - you can taxi over to the resaurant actually park on the grass literally feet in front of the restaurant. Small Caution: Runway lights are not very intense. They're just fine for getting out at night, but I'm not sure I'd want to land. Also - there are high trees at either end of the runway. You have to come in high and there's not a whole lot of runway. Leaving is a challeng too. We cleared the trees on departure by a reasonable margin - but we're reluctant to load up our Cirrus with two more passenger feel confident we'll get over the trees. Definitely worth the visit! - Submitted by Bob
3/24/2009 - We are the new owners of Nu-Cavu restaurant which is located on the Wallkill Airport. Our hours of operations are Closed Tuesday's and opened the rest of the week for lunch and dinner. Our new phone number is 845-895-9000. We offer a great bar menu along with full dining Menu. We have done some renovations to the place and it looks great. Our have a Friday happy hour from 4:30 pm to 7pm with drink specials and free hot buffet food.
8/29/2007 - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Beautiful location with great gourmet food and not expensive prices. Sets the bar for fly in restaurants. A must go to. Excellent to view fall foliage.
