Shelter Cove Airport
An awesome get away location on the Lost Coast. Park and camp or stay in one of many B&B's or motels. Restaurants and lodging within walking distance. Bring your golf clubs which is within walking distance of the airport. Managers of the local motels are willing to loan a vehicle for short trips. 2/7/2011 - Trip from k1o2 to shelter cove in february perfect weather flew out over the ocean but found no whales.
When you go stay at the Inn of the lost coast at the north end of the field. They will see you land and come pick you up. Pilots can also use the van to drive around the area. The hotel is excellent the service is great right on the water. there is no fuel but little river has 100LL about 45 miles south and Ukiah has 100LL and jet about 60 miles S/E. There are several fields to visit between Santa Rosa and Shelter cove A great place to fly.

6/27/2009 - Saturday lunch run 6-27-09. A very quit,secluded, off the beaten path location. Deli open - fish and chips were good. Walk on the beach and you will have seen and done all there is to offer at Shelter cove. - Submitted by Mike
