Lakeway Airpark
Lakeway Resort and Spa on Lake Travis. Good food and transportation. Lakeway Airpark, Inc. was formed by Lakeway residents and interested parties to own and manage Lakeway Airpark (3R9). The Airpark is a privately owned not for profit public use airport for residents and guests of Lakeway. No public funds are used and the airport is supported by fees and fuel sales at the airport. Lakeway airpark is an unmanned facility open for use from Sunrise to Sunset seven days a week. We offer Self Serve 100LL fuel. Transient parking is available for $10 a night. Transient maximum is 8 days within a 30 day period.

2/20/2013 - What a fun community of pilots, with everything you could want in a resort destination. Golf, lake, tennis, shops, fantastic restaurants. Close to Austin too. Always some social gathering or fly out being planned by the 3R9 residents. One home is available on the runway and golf course, very rare find for this area. www.lakewayairparkhome.com - Submitted by sue
7/25/2010 - Flew into Lakeway Airport 3R9 to go to the Lakeway Resort. Very nice airport. If landing runway 16 be careful of houses and trees atop the hill on short Final. If taking off Runway 34 on a high density altitude day, be careful of those same houses/trees - make sure you have enough power and use all available runway. No operations from sunset to sunrise. Courtesy pick-up / drop-off from the Resort was great. The bar and restaurant were great, with daily happy hour from 3:00-6:00 serving half-priced drinks and appetizers. The view of the lake is beautiful. The Resort pools are awesome!! Well worth the trip. Looking forward to going back again soon. - Submitted by Ryan
3/14/2005 - I flew into Lakeway on a quiet Sunday afternoon for a sporty landing with gusty winds and a lot of mechanical turbulence. Practice up on those crosswind approaches! The scenery was beautiful and the lunch at the Lakeway Inn was top notch. Highly recommended!
11/20/2003 - Lakeway on Lake Travis is a must for all pilots.The scenery is great and the airport is interesting to say the least.It is cut out of a hill overlooking the lake.The appr.from the north is over the lake & usually involves at least some winds/shear.No nite ops!Call the Lakeway Inn & van will come fetch you & have the best sunday brunch in Texas!The dining room overlooks the lake.This really is a great $100-$200 hamburger.(brunch is 5-7 main dishes & every side imaginable)A great Texas hill country trip.
