Known for its pioneering role in air travel, our 1928 Ford Tri-Motor City of Wichita made history as one of two Ford Tri-Motors to operate the first ever air/rail transcontinental flight with Charles Lindbergh Amelia Earhart pioneering that historic flight in July of 1929! The Ford Tri-Motor was instrumental in establishing transcontinental routes across the United States, including those by the locally owned Island Airlines that operated until the early 1980s servicing the Lake Erie Islands year-round. With its distinctive corrugated aluminum body and enchanting vintage charm, this airplane provides a truly memorable experience for all ages.
Aircraft rides offer not only the thrill of flying but also a chance to connect with the rich history of aviation. The Ford Tri-Motor flights on June 14th and 15th celebrate the pioneering spirit of air travel, making it the perfect Father's Day gift for dads and families looking to create cherished memories together.
