Roles and Responsibilities
Routinely prepare, organize, and coordinate for meetings between GE Aerospace Company Leadership, Executives, PL leaders, and Program leaders with appropriate representative(s) in the Air Force.
Remain abreast of USAF requirements and translate them to meaningful business opportunities. Maintain a daily focus on sustaining a high standard of performance on current programs. Network and interface daily with appropriate counterparts within the aerospace and defense industry. Remain active in professional organizations that promote the Warfighter and industry.
Comprehend the impact on GE Aerospace of USAF and DoD modernization and force structure plans as well as the global environment. Must have effective engagement with all levels, from individual program leads in the respective branch of service to the most senior Political appointees and General and Officers in the USAF as well as the most senior Company Executives.
It is essential to have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the AF and DOD / military service requirements process as well as the defense acquisition and the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process. Ability to lead business development planning processes for this market which consists of complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used. Ability to coordinate business development and sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
May lead functional teams or projects, communicate difficult concepts and influence options on topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Strong oral and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Proven leadership abilities in a range of positions to include operational and staff assignments with experience in complex organizations.
Retired O-6 from the US Air Force.
