Would you like to lead manufacturing operations for some of the most advanced composite antennas in our defense industry? Our Advanced Composites Manufacturing (ACM) facility is looking for a manufacturing leader to drive our F-35/F-22 embedded aperture programs, and this may be the role for you!
This role will report to the ACM Operations Director and will assist in leading the factory to success across our F-35 and F-22 programs. The Embedded Apertures Leader is responsible for leading a team of operators, technicians, and Value Stream Specialists toward achieving all factory demands and daily operations.
This individual will interface regularly with engineering, supply chain, and program teams to ensure that the factory is set up to achieve QDC goals while also working across functions to eliminate waste from the value stream, innovating improved communication and execution tools, and driving towards zero defects. The manufacturing leader will be responsible for the overall execution of the program schedules, utilization and staffing of the team, and general oversight of both the F-35 and F-22 aperture production lines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ownership of daily operations within factory
- Monitors, influences and tracks production to achieve delivery milestones
- Partners with supply chain team to ensure the material flow supports factory production demands
- Collaborates with Process Engineering to find root cause of defects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining factory metrics and driving a culture of innovation
- Evaluates staffing levels and capacity analysis to drive staffing and future capital decisions
- Presenting to operations leadership on factory execution
- Ensuring a culture of compliance, safety and diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and organizing resources to execute improvements
- Help leads/assist with audits, both internal, DCMA/DCMAS and external audits
Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, Skills - Bachelor’s degree and 6 years work experience or High School/ Equivalency and 10 years work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership results in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with innovation and creativity
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills - Masters degree and 8 years experience
- Experience in composite manufacturing leadership
- Excellent leadership, people skills, judgement and problem solving capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in implementing manufacturing improvements to reduce cycle time, cost, and defects
- Experience with Lean Systems and/or Six Sigma, continuous improvements, 5S and meeting compliance requirements
- Experience in US defense industry manufacturing operations is highly desirable for this position
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $113080 - $192280

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
